School counselor

I’m excited to start my third year as the Bache-Martin School Counselor! I have a varied background in education, school counseling and the mental health field. I graduated from the GSE at the University of Pennsylvania with a dual Master's degree in Education and Professional Counseling. I worked in the School District of Philadelphia as a School Counselor for 3 years and then focused on building my clinical skills as a Mental/Behavioral Health Clinician for 4 years. I am excited to be back in the role of School Counselor and look forward to being a part of the Bache-Martin community I lived in the Fairmount neighborhood for 6 years and recently bought a home in Brewerytown. We have a beautiful two year old daughter, Evelyn, who keeps us on our toes and always laughing! I love to run, eat Italian food (Angelino's is the best!), drink tea at OCF and be with my family and friends. I am ready to continue to learn and grow as your School Counselor and I hope to create a safe space where students, family and the school community are listened to, serviced and supported.

This is my third year teaching at Bache-Martin. I am originally from the Boston area, but I relocated to Philly four years ago, specifically the Brewerytown neighborhood, and fell in love with the area! I got my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont. I am currently working on finishing my master's degree at Chestnut Hill College and I recently got my reading specialist certification. I love teaching PreK because it is incredible to watch such young learners get excited about school and to prepare them socially and academically for their future school experiences. When I am not teaching, I enjoy being active outside and traveling to the mountains with my husband to hike and ski!
